Name: Aislinn Kenyon

Title: Marketing and Administrative Assistant

Hometown: Abbotsford

If you could travel to one city where would you go and why?:

Norway, I have family there who I have never met, and would love to see the scenery and learn more about the history and myths.

What did you want to be when you were a child?:

A fashion designer

What activity do you like to do in your spare time?:

Hiking and kayaking with my mom

What book are you reading/ show are you watching right now?:

A Private Disgrace by Victoria Lincoln. It’s about the Lizzie Borden story and the author knew her personally so it’s a cool perspective.

Who is your inspiration?:

My Great Nan, She’s almost 101, born the day and year that WW1 ended, and she’s still got a fantastic sense of humour!

What is your favourite thing to do in Vancouver?:

Visiting Granville Island.

If you could have coffee with one person, alive or dead, who would it be and why?:

My Nana, she passed away a couple of years ago and she and I have some catching up to do!

What subject was your favourite subject in school?:

Physics, surprisingly enough, nothing ever came of it though.

Can you explain quickly what your job is all about?:

I manage our social media accounts, as well as fleshing out notes given to me by our team to make our blog content!

What do you love about your job?:

I love that every day is different. Also that I get a mix of large projects and smaller ones so nothing ever feels like it’s dragging on.

What tip could you give to small business owners to reach success?:

Think about your marketing early!

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?:

I would love to learn how to play the bagpipes!

Guilty pleasure?:

Potato chips, mainly salt and vinegar or cheetos.

Secret talent that no-one knows about?:

I can recite movie quotes and facts. Not too secret, it annoys a lot of my family, but still a talent!

What do you like the most about Entreflow?:

I love the team dynamic, there’s no segregation of departments, no one acts as if they’re better than the other. It’s an amazing group of people to work with.

What do you like the most about working with startups and small businesses?:

Getting to see all of the amazing things that people are working on. Especially the eco-friendly concentrated companies, it’s nice to see people working towards making a change!

A penguin walks through that door right now wearing a sombrero. What does he say and why is he here?:

“It’s 5 o’clock! Let’s head to the Taqueria!” And he’s here because it’s time for margaritas.

What is the funniest thing that has happened to you recently?:

While away in Edinburgh, we got woken up at 9:45 am by a text from my mom’s cousin saying that the Red Hot Chilli Pipers (yes pipers, check them out on YouTube) were playing on an obscure platform in a train station in 10 minutes so we rushed to get dressed and ran down there to watch them play. Not the venue I expected to see them at, nor the time of day, but it was amazing to see such a talented group!
