If you could travel to one city where would you go and why?:
I would likely go to Tokyo, as I know a lot of people that have gone and they describe it as a city 20 years in the future. I love technology and it seems to have a great blend of history and futuristic technology.

As a young child, I was always told I’d be a great lawyer, so I considered that for a while. I also looked into similar financial roles, as well as becoming a personal trainer.

What is your favourite thing to do in Vancouver?:
I think there is a great food scene in Vancouver, especially in the downtown core.
If you could have coffee with one person, alive or dead, who would it be and why?:
I would love to pick Jeff Bezos’ brain, although I don’t know know if coffee would be enough. I think I would enjoy spending time with any great entrepreneur, as the scale of their business must have some very unique challenges that I’d love to learn about.

In two words: Problem solver. That’s the real goal. Implementations are just the avenue to solving the root issue, which tends to be a disconnect between the decision makers and the data necessary to make good decisions. My accounting background also means that my role is varied, as I’m often asked to jump in to a huge variety of projects.

I love that I can work on new tasks and projects on a weekly basis. The opportunity for learning is unmatched.

Although it may feel like a race, success is a marathon.

They have unique challenges and every problem is different, so creative thinking is very important.
